Skateboard Project


Recently I have been working on a Digital Tutors project exploring modeling hard surfaces with NURBS. I have learnt many skills and techniques that are combined together to create detailed yet very easy objects within Maya. For example, the technique ‘lofting’; is a much quicker and efficient way of combining two object together, in order to make this skateboard I made a ‘loft’ by selecting the two ends of the skateboard and clicking the button within the surfaces tab’. Overall, I very much enjoyed this tutorial and it really opened my eyes to another way of modeling; here are just some development shots:


I hope to create my very own skateboard soon and I’m also going to be creating a graphic within Photoshop/ illustrator.
